Require all public schools to have security systems, electromagnetic locking doors, metal detectors and security.

School security should be standardized and address prevention. All exterior doors should be locked with electromagnetic locks and monitored with security cameras requiring a person wanting to enter the building be allowed to enter by a school official. All persons entering the building should be required to pass through a metal detector before going any further. Optimally all interior doors should be able to be controlled electromagnetically and locked at the push of a button. All schools should have an immediate response security system that alerts authorities instantly of a breach in security and if the metal detector were to be set off. An armed security officer should be required to be on duty during all schools hours at every public school across the nation.
