Today, at least 24 elementary children died due to inadequate tornado shelter in Moore, Oklahoma. These deaths could have easily been prevented if those children had a shelter to take cover in at the school. This town should have had a storm shelter for these kids, considering it was nearly leveled in 1999 due to a similar tornado. Proper planning would have saved these kids. We are too late to help them, but we can save so many more with this law implemented. Will our taxes go up to provide these underground tornado shelters for our children? Most likely. Will you write off the life of a child to save a few dollars in taxes? I sincerely hope not. America, do what is right for our children!
