Require all schools to employ a School Resource Officer (certified police officer)

A certified police officer acting as a School Resource Officer will provide protection to our children while at school and a vital link between Law Enforcement and schools. Each school should be required to employ a School Resource Officer (SRO). The SRO can respond immediately to neutralize a threat to our children and/or be able to gather information to stop a threat before it happens. An SRO also provides a visible deterrent to anyone who may want to attempt to harm our children.
