We have a President Elect who has refused to disclose his federal tax returns. This is a serious danger to our open democracy. Citizens have a right to expect transparency from our elected officials. We may not be able to un-elect Trump, but we can still demand to watch him. We can still push for Presidential tax transparency BEFORE Obama leaves office and we seat a new Congress.
Join me in petitioning the current administration to push Congress to make what has been simply a custom a new law requiring all sitting Presidents and Vice Presidents, and all future Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates, be legally required to disclose a minimum of five years of full federal tax returns.
