require all software and internet companies to clearly state terms of use in plain and brief language

Created by L.D. on February 08, 2013

In the internet age, purchasing, downloading and using products electronically regularly involves acknowledging terms and conditions. Many companies purposefully generate extensive language designed to confuse and frustrate users who normally give up on reading and confirm their agreement in order to complete their purchase.
These users, in many cases, agree to terms that are unreasonably in favor of the provider. This can include allowing the provider (seller) to track location and other information about the user or breaking traditional methods and relationships between originators and users such as Apple has done with iTunes non standard format.

Terms and conditions should be plain and simple and clearly state on a single page, all key ponts important to buyers.
