There are many lawmakers that do not understand firearm terminology or firearms in general. They do not have an understanding of what a true Assault Rifle is or the difference between semi-automatic and automatic among other things.
We feel as though all lawmakers should be educated on a topic before they vote for a law, If one is not familiar with a topic, such as firearms, they may understand the consequences of their vote.
