require all states to follow the exact same guidelines for all steps involved in gun ownership to include carry permits.

Created by E.W. on January 10, 2013

All regulation of firearms should be handled by the federal government and should be enforced as such. The same laws should apply across the board to avoid reciprocation issues when traveling with firearms from state to state. Concealed carry permits should be issued from the federal government, not individual state governments. More stringent controls should be put in place, including, but not limited to; Fingerprinting , mental health screening, and background check (financial and criminal) of the applicant, and successful completion of a federally approved gun safety course. Furthermore, upon purchase of ANY firearm, purchaser MUST show proof of a federally approved gun safe and sign an agreement that they will be held responsible for any crimes committed with firearms they purchase.
