Require all states to provide in state tuition rates for Veterans discharged within 3 years from active duty.

Created by V.L. on November 16, 2012

There needs to be a federal mandate requiring ALL states to provide in state tuition rates for all Veterans that have been discharged from active duty within the past 3 years in any state that they choose to start a new life in. Veterans fought for all 50 states not just one. Veterans that have served on active duty are displaced. For example, my husband Henry whom is currently serving on active duty in the US ARMY for nearly 8 years has a driver's license and license plate from Washington state, is registered to vote in his home of record, Indiana and owns a home with me in North Carolina. If Henry left the military today, he would be effectively displaced yet not receive in state tuition rates inside of North Carolina where he currently lives.
