Abolishing the electorate college could be dangerous for our country's future. However, eliminating the "winner-take-all" policy, which allows states to give all of its electorates to a candidate even if they win by a small margin, will improve and accurately reflect the people's choice especially in battleground states. Instead, require all states to use a split-electorate system like some states already use. This would mean that a state could divide their electoral votes according to the vote in their state (i.e if a state was almost 50/50 on a candidate, both candidates could receive electoral votes thus representing the votes fairly). We ask that this be implemented by the next Presidential election cycle.
