Require all statistics claims made in the media to be properly cited from their sources to help keep the public educated

Created by H.G. on January 09, 2013

Newspapers and News channels have been known to make claims of statistics all the time and stating so called "facts" but rarely if ever are the sources for such information cited. It would be better for the public knowledge if we were properly directed to where we could also find this information and possibly even learn more about the subject.
In a country that is by the people for the people, it is important to know and where the information is coming from. This is why I propose a law that would require a satisfactory listing of sources at the end of news segments and articles that will lead readers and viewers to where they could get more information and see the statistics for themselves. This would lead to the public being able to play a larger role in improving the national community
