Thorium is more abundant than Uranium, and produces much less waste. Thorium is also harder to weaponize, as it does not produce leftover Plutonium. As a world superpower, we should set an example and ban the more dangerous Uranium nuclear power plants to have them replaced with safer Thorium ones.
