Require all US aircraft manufacturers to install equipment on new airplanes that will continuously transmit GPS data.

Created by S.S. on March 12, 2014

With the ongoing search efforts for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, a monumental amount of resources could be saved by simply requiring that all aircraft manufacturers design and install technology in all new aircraft (as well as retrofits for all existing commercial aircraft) that will continuously transmit basic GPS data to air traffic control. This information would be recorded and saved until the flight has arrived at it's intended destination. This technology should be as indestructible as a conventional flight data recorder and remain on at all times.
