It is often argued that lowering corporate tax rates creates an incentive for job creation in the US instead of overseas, encourages increased investment in infrastructure, and passes savings on to consumers through lower prices.
That position is debatable, but we say to corporations and opponents of raising corporate taxes, put your money (literally) where your mouth is:
For a corporation to qualify for any tax break, it should be required that at least 90% of its workforce be American citizens.
If it doesn't meet this guideline, it should receive no tax breaks or incentives. Additionally, tax deductions for a corporation that moves its business (plants, facilities, et cetera) overseas should be ended.
It is time for corporations to contribute to the common good of this nation.
