We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Require an annual national vote on matters that directly impact Congress (ex: pay raises, term limits, etc)

Created by A.L. on November 10, 2016

Our checks and balances system is flawed. We cannot expect lifetime appointed members of Congress to make fair decisions on matters that directly effect them personally. My employer decides whether I have done an adequate job and determines pay based on my performance. Since we the people are the employer of our government officials, I propose an amendment calling for an annual national vote (where popular vote wins) on issues including but not limited to the following:

-allowing Congress to raise their own pay
-setting term limits on House and Senate positions
-whether they should be able to accept money or bribes from lobbyists and other special interests

This structure would return balance of fairness back to the voter and hold Congress more accountable to earning our vote.
