Many animals are mishandled, provoked, harmed, or shot by police who do not understand how to properly handle a situation with an animal and who don't understand how to read an animal's behavior. Many instances have occurred in articles and video footage of police mishandling animals, forcing the animals to defend themselves which results in an unfair situation where the owner ends up at fault for the cop's lack of education and the animal is potentially doomed to be euthanized or shot.
For this petition, please sign if you agree that only trained professionals who understand animal behavior and how to handle animals based off their species and displayed behaviors on the spot during the handling process be the only ones to seize, capture, move, examine, or handle animals in any way.
