require any person elected to a federal position within the U.S. Government to relinquish their political affiliation.

I would like to see an executive order or bill put forth by the President requiring himself and every elected or appointed official in the national government to give up their political party affiliation upon taking their place in office. He is the President of the United States, not the President of the Democratic Party. Its about time these men and women we elected realized that they are not beholden to their CPAC backers, but all the American people.
