Require anyone running for office to swear an oath of neutrality towards all citizens.

Created by A.H. on April 28, 2013

It seems that many lawmakers have been introducing laws, or in the same turn, blocking legislation, based on their personal beliefs and prejudices. In this country, first and foremost, everyone has a right to free speech and freedom of religion, but everyone is equal and I think that's something that many politicians have lost sight of. I am petitioning the Obama Administration to issue an immediate Executive Order, so as to effect the upcoming 2014 elections, that proclaims ANY person running for ANY office in the United States of America must, BY LAW, swear to represent all people and show NO prejudice when governing, based on gender, sexual identity, race, or ethnicity, and perhaps even have potential electorates take the Harvard Implicit Association Test as a backup.
