require appointees to the Committee on Science, Space and Technology to pass a test on science before participating.

Members of the Committee on Science, Space and Technology have shown a lack of scientific knowledge. Instead of people with a working knowledge of science many of the members of the committee seem ill prepared for the position. They don’t know basic biology concerning the reproductive processes of our species (see “legitimate rape”). These politicians judge science and dismiss warnings as “alarmism”. Rep. Randy Weber stated "I don't know how you prove those hypotheses, going back fifty, a hundred, what you might say is thousands or millions of years, and how you postulate those forward". He is dismissing scientists with PhDs because he admittedly doesn’t understand the science. With a test of basic science we can at least weed out those unqualified to interoperate scientific information.
