require an armed police presence in every public school in the nation as a condition for receiving federal funding

Created by C.M. on December 15, 2012

Recognizing that people wanting to do harm will find a way to do so regardless of laws, we call on the federal government to require each and every public school to maintain a minimum of one armed and trained police officer during school hours as a condition of receiving federal funding. As schools are facing tight funding, the federal government should provide funding for these positions for districts facing severe budget issues.

Children are the most most precious thing we have, and protecting them should be our highest priority. No amount of gun laws will prevent someone from obtaining a firearm illegally and causing bodily harm, but a trained officer can.
