Require asbestos and vermiculite safety training for all workers entering an attic. Fully disclose any asbestos found.

I would like EVERYONE who enters an attic for their job to be required to take an asbestos safety class online or by their employer. If vermiculite or asbestos is found the homeowner must be informed before any work is completed. Preferably every homeowner would be informed of the risks of vermiculite insulation but it is especially important to protect workers and homeowners from disturbing the materials. I worked in attics for years with no such training and many others have. It puts everyone at risk. This is fully preventable if people are aware. Vermiculite contains asbestos which causes mesothelioma and lung cancer among many other health risks.
