Signing this petition will encourage the President to require the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms to collect and publish the appallingly high number of firearm deaths and injuries that are occurring in the US. Making this information public will make everyone aware of the enormity of the problem and should encourage even second amendment supporters to begin to work constructively to reduce the numbers.
