Require automatic lights on all cars by 2020 for safe driving at night and during inclement weather.

Created by M.S. on December 23, 2015

Many states currently require that if your wipers are on, that your lights (headlights and markers) also be on for safety, mainly visibility by other motorists. Additionally headlights and marker lights are required at night. While this is required, many people on the roads today forget to put both their headlights and marker lights on during inclement weather and/or night conditions.

Some automotive manufactures have implemented automatic light system in addition to day time running lights. I recommended that all automobiles be required to have an automatic light feature to turn lights on during low light conditions and if the windshield wipers are being used. An override feature is recommended, as is currently implemented by GM, etc.

This would increase motorist and pedestrian safety
