Require "bank owned" properties to be brought up to "local standard building codes" prior to resale by the institutions.

Created by B.B. on October 27, 2011

This petition will ensure and formally require that banks follow the laws in the local communities where they are foreclosing on properties, and reselling "as is", often not up to code, with serious issues, against local Building and Safety laws.

These properties should not be dumped onto unsuspecting homeowners, nor should they be "flipped" by unlicensed, unregulated limited liability groups working in concert with these banks.

This petition if selected will quickly stimulate the many still damaged industries related to the housing industry, and local communities, creating millions of local skilled jobs, enlisting the local work force in both the public and private sector, labor and raw goods. Impact would be almost immediate for those most directly impacted by the mortgage fiasco.
