It has come to American's attentions that this country has a serious issue of police violence particularly and primarily against People of Color. We ask that legislation and funding are put through our national government that would require ALL police officers nation wide to wear body cameras during the line of duty and these body cameras be functioning and turned on by law.
This initiative must be started to ensure the safety and protection of American citizens in their homes and in their own streets across the nation.
Tragedies like that of Mike Brown, Tamir Rice and so many others could be if not prevented, at least brought to court more quickly and effectively if all police officers were required to have body cameras and to have them functioning as part of their uniform.
