Every police officer that interacts with the public should have a camera to provide accountability for the people he is working for - the citizens of the United States of America - We the People.
We have a glaring and obvious problem with use of excessive force by police - yet there is no law that will force police departments to be held accountable. Millions and millions in lawsuits are paid out every year, innocent lives lost, and people hurt, because of a lack of accountability by police. We have the technology to help the situation - we have the ability to equip police with cameras. It is a simple start to a complex situation - but it must start here - all police must be held accountable.
