With each new corporate mega merger, it seems there are increasingly large bonus payments made to the relatively few top executives involved in the deals.
But it's largely the work, innovation, and sacrifices of rank & file employees that make one company successful enough to buy and make the other company attractive enough to be bought.
And those same employees are the ones most at risk of losing their jobs when two companies become one.
So when top executives receive special payouts in mergers that require federal approval, the government should require that ALL the workers in both companies be compensated on a sliding scale.
This isn't a matter of just spreading wealth from one group to another. It's about rewarding American workers for making American companies so great.
