Boat propellers are dangerous, fast moving, rotating blades that cause extreme injuries. Boat accidents happen often not only to humans, but also animals. This past 4th of July, my 14 year old nephew fell out of a boat sustaining horrific injury to his thigh from the boats propeller. Had there been a law for caged propellers this accident could have been avoided.
I want my nephew's accident to help prevent terrifying, life altering accidents from happening to others. This can only happen if caged propellers are a requirement for all boats. Caged propellers are an easy, fast, more effective way to prevent propeller accidents.
