Require car makers to produce cars that get a minimum of 40 miles per gallon.

Created by E.S. on February 24, 2014

The environment is in a critical situation. Global warming is an (obvious) arising problem and the US government is doing nothing to address it or change the ways society deals with the environment.

A simple solution that will create an impact in the world is to prohibit the production of cars that get over 40 miles per gallon. This solution is efficient and completely within reach because we have the technology to achieve this we are just simply not taking advantage of it.

Prohibiting the manufacturing of cars that get over 40 miles per gallon will allow Americans to save money, and it will positively impact the changing climates throughout the world. There is absolutely no reason cars should be reaching mileage that is over 40 miles per gallon.
