If the data that the NSA collects about citizens is considered public information, I would like the federal government (or cellular companies on their own accord) to publicly publish the metadata about all calls that nationally public officials make. This serves two purposes:
1) By denying this, the government further shows its hypocrisy regarding the metadata of its people.
2)In the event that the government (or cellular companies independently) enact this request, it allows better identification of corruption in the federal government.
As has been repeated by the federal government, metadata isn't private data, therefore the government should have no reason to deny this.
