This petition is to require all cell phone manufactures to make available a I.C.E. (In Case of Emergency) application that's accessible from the lock screen of all cell phones. Making it easier for E.M.S. and other medical professionals to gain pertinent medical information about an unconscious/unresponsive patient.
The I.C.E. application shall include the following items at a minimum:
- Patients name
- Patients birth year
- Inability to be inaccessible or locked out
- Medical history
- Medications
- Allergies (in bold red font)
- Emergency contact information
The program shall be written so that it will not be affected by the lock feature of a cell phone, will notify an emergency contact to call the phone upon opening of the application, and lock the phone out until the owner unlocks.
