Require churches to submit financial disclosure forms to prevent fraudulent spending and create transparency in actions.

Some religious organizations, such as the Westboro Baptist church, can use the financial shelter of church status to hide the spending of their funds. Money from questionable churches has been used to promote hate crimes and protect child abusers, as well as for person enrichment and political activism, often withouth the knowledge of their members. These churches recieve public funding via tax breaks, and as such should be accountable to the public sphere. We request that financial records for religious institutions are made available to the public, as is standard for other non-profit orginizations, to create accountability for the actions of all such institutions.
