Require the collection and tracking of defensive gun use statistics.

In order to bring balance to the debate regarding the need and efficacy of gun control legislation, statistics tracking the defensive use of firearms shall be reported by Federal, State and Local law enforcement agencies to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The records will be kept in the same manner as statistics regarding firearm deaths. All agencies required to report the defensive use of a firearm will do so anytime a firearm is used to defend one’s property, self or others whether or not the firearm is discharged or anyone is killed or injured.
