Under the Dodd-Frank Act (2010) the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is required to regulate excessive speculation, including on oil. The White House should take an immediate action and spur the Commission to end oil speculation on oil, which is driving up prices, hurting our recovery and placing a massive burden on households and employers nationwide.
