require companies performing hydraulic fracturing techniques to release lists of all chemicals and concentrations used.

Created by R.N. on April 29, 2014

Many companies are not currently required to release information about the various chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing fluid used to extract natural gas from shale rock. Some of these chemicals are deleterious to human health and reproductive systems. Others are cancer causing agents. For this reason, in order to educate those who may have the opportunity to allow drilling in their area or those working within close proximity of said chemicals, oil and natural gas companies should be required by the EPA to release all names and concentrations of chemicals involved.
