This petition is to require organizations that sell goods or services on a promotional or contract pricing period to publish the expiration/transition date(s) on the bill as well as make the information available via automated telephone systems, web site, or any other means the organization uses to communicate with the customer.
Further, provide a mechanism for customer to set-up an automated electronic notification when the promotion or contract period is about to expire. Notification should be capable of providing at least 30 days advance notice as well as the change in price should the customer choose to continue receiving service after the promotion/contract period.
Organization may not charge for this publication/notification or alter it's rates in connection with this change.
