Require computer programming or some type of computer learning class to be taken beginning in Kindergarten.

The reason for pledging this petition is for the good of America, as well as the world. As we all know, day by day computers become more integrated into our daily lives. Smartphones, laptops, tablets are changing the way we see ourselves and the world. Information and social activity is constantly at our fingertips via the ability to connect to the Internet and other people all around the world. Never have we been so connected. This accelerating, changing world is creating a need for the average person to understand the computer and the logic (or programming) behind it. The importance of computer programming at a young age is undeniable; it shows the novice programmer an entirely new way to think. If we want America to set the stage for a great world of the future, the time is now.
