Require Congress to get their act together, then get out, as the Founding Fathers intended.

Created by S.B. on January 28, 2013

Members of Congress do not represent their constituents anymore; they represent themselves and their re-election financiers. This needs to be fixed, and they need to be held accountable. The solution is a three-step process inspired by the CRA of 2012.

First: Term Limits. Two terms for Senators (12yrs), six terms for Congressmen/women (12yrs). After their term is up, they integrate back into society. Serving on Capitol Hill is a privilege, not a career.

Second: Accomplish Something. Start with the deficit. Anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election. (credit: W. Buffett) We must protect US interests first.

Third: Congress collects salary while in office and receives no pay when out of office.

Easy as 1-2-3.
