Require Congress to Handwrite and Read-Aloud All Legislation as the Founders did.

Created by R.K. on July 01, 2013

Require that all drafts of all bills before Congress be produced and distributed in hand-written form with the final version being read aloud in full.

The founding fathers did not envision todays copy machines & computers. In the early days of Congress, bills were short & to the point. Words were carefully chosen & each member of Congress read the entire bill or heard the bill read aloud before the assembly resulting in better conceived & more meaningful legislation they all understood.

Technology enables Congress to bloat bills with pork, loopholes, confusing language, & 100+ page last minute amendments few members have read.

This requirement would reform government by having Congress conduct its business more like the Founding Fathers intended & therefore pass masterpiece legislation.
