require congress to pass an AP Economics exam every year in the Spring along with US children

Created by D.K. on October 17, 2013

Congress members should represent their constituents and have at least a basic comprehension of economic matters. During every election year for a seat in congress, the candidates will be required to get a 4 or 5 on an AP economics exam in the Spring along with US children. If they do not score high enough they will not be allowed on the ballot or their score will be provided with voting materials alongside their opponents. Incumbents would also be required to take the test. The scores for all candidates would be made public.
