Each member of Congress that has received a campaign contribution or has any other financial dealings with a person, business, or corporation, must recuse themselves from voting on, sponsoring or cosponsoring any legislation that would directly impact the financial or business dealing of said person, business, or corporation.
Just as judges must recuse themselves from cases that they have a personal involvement in, Congress must also abstain from any legislative activity that could result in profit, government contracts, or favorable legislation to anyone or any business that has contributed to that member of Congress.
The citizens of America expect, and deserve, ethical Representatives who put the needs of the country and the people above their own re-elections, finances and politics.
