Require Congress to serve 10 years before getting retirement, and make it a 401k before raising military tricare costs.

Created by K.S. on March 04, 2013

Currently the DOD and the federal government are making slashing cuts to military healthcare and education benefits. Despite having made no cuts to the behemoth contractor GSA and its outrageous spending. On top of this, they want to cut 20 year military retirement because it "isnt fair" to those who serve 8 years and dont get a retirement. The average 8 year servicemember is 28-35, which allows time for a whole new career. Most careerists serve 22-26 years placing average retirement age in the mid forties. Cut government overspending before cutting what we have earned in blood and tears.
