Congressional gridlock and inefficiency weakens the country, wastes taxpayer money, and hurts the economy, yet policymakers pursue it relentlessly.
Congress should be required to submit to an indepent, third-party audit to examine the causes, consequences, and incentives driving this ineffectiveness.
The results and recommendations of the audit, as well as the examination process itself, should be publicly available and fully transparent to voters.
