Require congress to work through the holiday recess, if they are unable to reach a compromise and avoid the fiscal cliff

Hold congress accountable. They must reach an agreement in renegotiating the terms of the Budget Control Act of 2011 before the Holiday recess. If they fail to reach a compromise before the Holiday recess, all members must remain at the capital and work through the break. Failure to do so would be considered job abandonment, and their seat would be relinquished and filled by special election.
