Representatives no longer do the Constitutional job they have been hired to do by voting on laws without even knowing what those bills contain. An example is Nancy Polosi and her attitude to questions asked of her:
In the House, a process called "deem and pass" is legislative trickery to enact legislation that does not have majority backing. It meant the House would pass the 2,700-page health-care bill without ever actually voting for it. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said it all when she said, in the final days of the debate, "But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it."
To study and read all bills presented to them, it could help minimize pork and other useless laws passed that are intended to place yet even more restrictions on "WE THE PEOPLE."
