The populations of Orangutans on the islands of Sumatra and Borneo (the last locations they can be found) are rapidly declining due to non-sustainable practices by the palm oil industries. To save the remaining Orangutans from extinction we believe the Obama Administration should propose legislation (or an Executive Order) requiring companies to clearly list the use of palm oil (including percentages in oil blends) and whether or not the oil is RSPO certified on all products. Consumer awareness is the last hope in saving the big red Ape!
