All cruise lines should be required to hire lifeguards. Tragically, several children have already drowned in pools on cruise ships because there were no lifeguards present. Drowning is preventable! The more sets of eyes on the pool, the better. Also, lifeguards are CPR-certified, so they will be able to take quick action in an emergency.
