Abraham Lincoln was not only a third party candidate, but made one of the most significant changes to the United States in history by abolishing slavery. He broke the Democratic/Whig bipartisan system by introducing the Republican party, which now has more elected presidents than any other party, proving that a third party can make a difference.
Effective immediately, require the invitation of all candidates on ballots with enough electoral voting power to win an election to a minimum of three presidential debates to sufficiently inform the American People of all candidates with a mathematical chance to win.
