Climate science deniers, misconceptions on the female reproductive system anatomy, gullibility on false statistics, and ignorance in Geography and Geopolitical situations—these are just one of the few shortcomings that some of the members of congress (and other politicians) has demonstrated in their public statements.
However, the United States can fix this; a creation of a mandatory National Federal Intellectual Aptitude Test for current persons holding political office, and any potential candidate trying to run for office.
The test will be simple: It will comprise basic factual questions regarding Science, History, Geography, and Law, followed by simple Math and Logic questions.
A well-educated political body means faster things done in Congress. Please consider this petition.
