Require doctors to give parents of deaf/H.I. born children to give all the options available INCLUDING the use of ASL.

Currently doctors are permitted to discuss the intrusive medical Cochlear Implant procedure with the parents of deaf and hearing impaired infants but not the use of American Sign Language as a life option. The implant is not guaranteed to work, but they must burn out the auditory nerve completely to install this device which puts a device into the head that is an easy point of entry for Bacterial meningitis, The ASL deaf community is a robust cultural group with as much opportunity and happiness as the hearing without the need to remove part of the brain and implant a foreign object in your child's skull.
