Before purchasing a product or service, the law requires merchants to provide an itemized bill of sale. Doctors, apparently, are exempt from this rule.
In order to facilitate informed decision making on the part of medical consumers, we request a federal law requiring all medical professionals to provide, in advance, an itemized list of services, products and fees for which a patient and/or patient's insurance carrier will be held responsible.
